74-Year-Old Gordon Richard Speer Killed in Fatal Crash at 5000 West Bellfort
Houston, Texas (May 8, 2017) – According to the Houston Police Department, the man who was killed Thursday evening in a crash on 5000 West Bellfort has been identified.
Gordon Richard Speer, 74, of Houston was walking southbound on Runnymeade crossing West Bellfort when he was struck by a silver Pontiac G6. Reportedly, Mr. Speer was crossing the street against a “do not walk” signal while the vehicle had a green light.
According to the report, Mr. Speer was reported missing on Friday by his roommate, and a missing persons flyer was created.
One Sunday, the HPD investigators were notified by the Forensic Sciences that the deceased pedestrian was positively identified as Mr. Speer.
