Man Killed in West Bellfort Pedestrian Crash in Southwest Houston
Houston, Texas (May 5, 2017) – A man was killed Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a southwest Houston street, Houston Police Department said.
The incident took place at about 6 p.m. yesterday in the 5000 block of West Bellfort Boulevard, according to the police report.
As per the report, a man was walking southbound on Runnymeade Street and crossing at West Bellfort Blvd intersection, but against “a do not walk” signal. At the same time, a man driving was Pontiac G6 on West Bellfort with a green light. The vehicles struck and killed the pedestrian.
Police say that the pedestrian was at fault.
The pedestrian was questioned by the police and released without any charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
