Woman Hospitalized After Wayside Drive Crash in Northeast Houston
Houston, Texas (March 9, 2017) – According to a report by the Houston Police Department, a woman was trapped inside her vehicle after crashing into a pole in northeast Houston early Wednesday morning.
The incident took place around 12:30 a.m. on Wayside Drive at Belroit Street, as per the police report.
According to the report, a woman was driving a minivan northbound on Wayside Drive when, for unknown reasons, the van went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The van landed on its side after the crash trapping the woman inside the vehicle.
Firefighters responded to the scene extricated the trapped woman. Medical personnel attended to the woman at the scene before taking her to a hospital. She was listed in serious condition.
The accident remained under investigation.
