1 Critically Injured in 18-Wheeler Crash on I-30 in Royse City

One Critically Injured in Royse City 18-Wheeler Crash on Interstate 30

Royse City, Texas (September 14, 2021) – One person was critically injured early Monday morning in an 18-wheeler crash in Royse City, according to the police.

The crash happened around 12:15 a.m., September 13, on Interstate 30.

Police said an 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound on the interstate when the engine failed, and the driver pulled onto the shoulder. A second 18-wheeler veered onto the shoulder, rear-ended the stalled 18-wheeler and caught fire.

The driver of the second 18-wheeler was ejected from the vehicle and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The other driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
