One Killed and Two Missing After Galveston Boating Accident

Galveston, Texas (January 15, 2020) – One person was killed, and two others are missing a boat crashed Tuesday afternoon in Galveston, a local news source reported.

The deadly crash happened around 3:35 p.m. January 14, near the Galveston Jetties.

According to the Coast Guard, they were told that four people were in the water after a boat and a 600 feet chemical tanker collided.

Two fishermen were pulled from the water with the help of nearby Good Samaritans. The men were taken to the hospital where one of them was pronounced dead.

The authorities are searching for the two missing men.

An investigation is underway.
