Man Killed in Houston Car Accident on Interstate 45 near North Shepherd Drive
Houston, Texas (March 5, 2019) – A man was killed Monday in a three-vehicle collision in Houston, police said.
The deadly accident happened at an unspecified time Monday, March 3 on the northbound lanes of Interstate 45 near North Shepherd Drive.
According to the police, the man was driving northbound on the freeway when his car blew a tire or experienced other mechanical issues.
Police said the driver lost control and was hit by at least two other vehicles. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending identification and notification of his family.
The crash caused the closure of all northbound lanes of the North Freeway as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
