One Injured in Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 71 near Palermo Drive

Austin, Texas (March 11, 2022) – One person was injured on Thursday in a three-vehicle crash in Austin, according to officials.

The crash happened just after 1:30 p.m., March 10, on W. State Highway 71 near Palermo Drive.

Officials said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

One person was pinned in one of the vehicles.

One person was airlifted to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash closed both directions of the highway near Palermo Drive.

The crash remains under investigation.
