1 Injured in DWI Crash on Jones Maltsberger at Thousand Oaks in San Antonio

One Injured in San Antonio Three-Vehicle Crash at Jones Maltsberger and Thousand Oaks

San Antonio, Texas (November 1, 2021) – One person was injured early Saturday morning in a DWI crash in San Antonio’s Northeast Side, according to the police.

The crash happened just before 3:00 a.m., October 30, at the intersection of Jones Maltsberger and Thousand Oaks.

Police said a vehicle was traveling southbound on Jones Maltsberger when it struck another vehicle at the intersection, pushing it into a third vehicle that was stopped in the northbound lane.

The driver of the second vehicle was taken to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle and the driver of the southbound vehicle were uninjured in the crash.

Police said the southbound driver had just left a nearby bar before the crash. He was arrested and was taken into custody for suspicion of driving while intoxicated, and booked for Intoxication Assault.

The police are investigating the crash.
