Person Injured in Travis County Pedestrian Crash on U.S. Highway 183

Travis County, Texas (December 5, 2020) – According to officials, one person was seriously injured in a pedestrian accident Friday evening in south Travis County.

The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m., December 4, in the 9414 block of South U.S. Highway 183 near Mustang Ridge.

Officials said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle, for unknown reasons, on the highway.

The victim was airlifted to St. David’s South with serious, potentially life-threatening injuries.

The accident closed U.S. 183 near FM 973.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
