One Injured in Austin Scooter Accident at Lavaca Street and West 5th Street

Austin, Texas (April 28, 2021) – An adult was injured in a scooter accident Tuesday night in downtown Austin, according to officials.

The crash was reported around 8:37 p.m., April 27, at the intersection of Lavaca Street and West 5th Street.

Officials said the crash involved a scooter and a vehicle.

One person was taken to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas-Austin with unknown injuries. The victim was unconscious.

No further details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
