1 Injured in Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-35 in Lewisville

One Injured in Lewisville Tractor-Trailer Crash on I-35 near FM 3040

Lewisville, Texas (July 31, 2022) – According to officials, one person was injured Saturday evening in a tractor-trailer crash in Lewisville.

The crash happened around 7:30 p.m., July 30, in the 2400 block of northbound I-35 near FM 3040.

Officials said the crash involved a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle.

The tractor caught fire after the collision and separated from the trailer which broke into several pieces. One of the broken-off pieces was one of the trailer’s axles, and it struck an overhead street sign.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of the interstate.

The crash remains under investigation.
