One Killed and One Injured in Madisonville Semi-Truck Crash on Interstate 45

Madisonville, Texas (January 6, 2021) – One person was killed and another was injured early Wednesday morning after two semi-trucks collided near Madisonville, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 3:00 a.m., on Interstate 45.

DPS said traffic was slowing when a semi-truck traveling northbound was rear-ended by another semi-truck.

The driver of the second semi-truck was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
