One Killed and One Seriously Injured in Plainview Two-Vehicle Crash on Dimmitt Road

Plainview, Texas (June 22, 2021) – According to the police, one person was killed and another was seriously injured early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Plainview.

The fatal crash happened just after midnight, June 19, in the 2800 block of Dimmitt Road at the intersection of Yonkers.

Police said an Orange Dodge Challenger failed to yield the right of way at the intersection and crashed into a tractor truck pulling a semi-trailer that was turning right onto the service road.

The front passenger of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Dodge driver was taken to Covenant Hospital in Plainview before being airlifted to Lubbock with serious injuries.

The driver of the tractor truck was uninjured in the crash.

The police are investigating the crash.
