1 Killed, 2 Injured in DUI Crash on North Main Street in Taylor

One Person Killed, Two Hospitalized after Taylor Crash on North Main Street

Taylor, Texas (January 18, 2023) – One person was killed and two other people were hospitalized after a Saturday night crash in Taylor, according to the Taylor Police Department.

The collision happened at about 11:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, in the 4300 block of North Main Street.

The Taylor police said a 2016 Chevrolet pickup truck was heading southbound when its driver allowed the vehicle to cross into northbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming 2003 GMC Yukon.

The driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification.

The two occupants of the GMC sustained major injuries and were taken to a hospital.

Authorities found open containers of alcoholic beverages in both vehicles. It is undetermined if alcohol played a role in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
