1 Killed, 2 Injured in Two-Car Crash on Socorro Road in Socorro

One Killed and Two Injured in Socorro Two-Vehicle Crash on Socorro Road 

Socorro, Texas (March 29, 2023) – One person was killed, and two others were injured Sunday evening in a two-vehicle crash in Socorro, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 6:58 p.m., March 26, on Socorro Road, near the intersection of south Nevarez and Winn roads.

Police said a 54-year-old man was driving a silver-colored Mitsubishi Mirage with a 28-year-old male passenger heading eastbound when he was rear-ended by a white-colored BMW 330 driven by a 29-year-old man.

All three men were taken to a local hospital, where the 54-year-old man later died.

The Socorro Police Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash. Anyone who may have witnessed the vehicles traveling eastbound on Socorro Road or the crash is asked to contact the Socorro Police Department at (915) 858-9237.
