1 Dies in Westlake Car Accident on Highway 114

Westlake, Texas (July 4, 2019) – A person was killed Tuesday in a traffic accident in Westlake, police said.

The deadly wreck happened on Highway 114 Tuesday, July 2.

According to the police, a pickup truck was traveling on the highway when it was hit from behind while changing lanes. The force of the impact caused the truck to cross over the center median into oncoming traffic.

The truck then rolled over in the westbound lanes and was hit by another vehicle.

The truck driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending family notification.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
