1 Killed, 4 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 290 in Austin

One Killed, Four Injured in Austin Crash on Highway 290 near Oak Hill

Austin, Texas (April 25, 2023) – A three-vehicle collision claimed one person’s life and injured four others on Monday afternoon in Southwest Austin.

The deadly crash happened at around 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 24, on Highway 290, about a mile west of the Y at Oak Hill near the South View Road intersection.

Authorities said three vehicles were involved in the crash.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and performed CPR on one patient. Despite life-saving measures, the victim was declared dead at the scene.

One patient was airlifted to Dell Seton Medical Center, while the other was also airlifted to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. The remaining two patients were taken to St. David’s South Austin and Dell Seton Medical Center, both with potentially serious injuries.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
