Man Killed and 5-Year-Old Critically Injured in Moody Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 107 at Blue Cut Road

Moody, Texas (September 2, 2020) – A man was killed, and a 5-year-old was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening, northwest of Moody, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash occurred around 6:15 p.m., September 1, at the intersection of FM 107 and Blue Cut Road.

DPS said a Ford Mustang was traveling on Blue Cut Road when it entered the intersection and was hit by a truck tractor semi-trailer that was traveling westbound on FM 107.

The force of the impact caused the Mustang to flip over.

The Mustang driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His 5-year-old passenger was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple in critical condition.

No other injuries were reported in the crash. 

The troopers are investigating the crash.
