One Killed in Melissa Two-Vehicle Crash on Sam Rayburn Highway near Highway 5

Melissa, Texas (March 20, 2020) – One person was killed Friday morning in a traffic collision involving an 18-wheeler in Collin County, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash took place around 6:00 a.m. on the Sam Rayburn Highway near Highway 5.

According to the report, the crash involved an 18-wheeler and a car. The car was pinned underneath the cab of the truck.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been disclosed.

The crash remains under investigation.
