One Killed in Hill County Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35

Hill County, Texas(October 22, 2022) – One person was killed Thursday evening in a three-vehicle crash in Hill County, according to the troopers.

The fatal crash occurred around 5:30 p.m., October 20, in the northbound lanes of Interstate 35E, northeast of Hillsboro.

Troopers said a Hyundai Elantra rear-ended a Freightliner semi-trailer on the interstate. The impact caused the Hyundai to spin and hit a Volvo semi-truck.

The Hyundai driver was ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
