1 Killed in 3-Vehicle Crash on IH-35 in Austin

One Killed in Austin Three-Vehicle Crash on Interstate Highway 35

Austin, Texas (September 10, 2022) – One person was killed Tuesday morning in a three-vehicle crash in Austin, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 8:16 a.m., September 6, in the 600 block of N IH 35 SB.

Police said a garbage compactor truck was in the outside lane when it rear-ended a four-door sedan. The sedan then rear-ended a second garage compactor truck.

The sedan driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
