1 Killed in Car Crash on Highway 287 in Fort Worth

One Killed in Fort Worth Crash on Highway 287 near Interstate 30

Fort Worth, Texas (February 18, 2020) – One person was killed in a traffic accident Tuesday morning in Fort Worth, according to the police.

The fatal crash took place around 6:30 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 287 near Interstate 30.

Police said a black Tahoe was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic when it hit two other vehicles and crashed into a bridge pillar.

The driver of the Tahoe was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

One of the other two drivers had to be extricated but is expected to be okay.

A white pickup truck that was also hit by the Tahoe spun into a railing. That driver was uninjured.

The crash closed the northbound lanes of Highway 287.

The crash remains under investigation.
