1 Killed in Car Crash on I-27 near Hale Center

One Killed in Hale Center Two-Vehicle Crash on I-27

Hale Center, Texas (August 30, 2020) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning, south of Hale Center, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened on Interstate 27.

DPS said a 1996 Kenworth truck tractor that was pulling a trailer was heading southbound on the interstate when a southbound 1996 Ford F250 pickup came close to the truck and attempted to change lanes.

As it was changing lanes, the Ford rear-ended the trailer.

The Ford driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The semi-truck driver was uninjured in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
