1 Killed in Dallas Hit-and-Run Crash on Loop 12

One Person Killed in Dallas Car Crash on Loop 12 (Walton Walker) near Interstate 35

Dallas, Texas (April 24, 2022) – One person was killed in an alleged hit-and-run crash in Northwest Dallas early Saturday morning, according to authorities.

The deadly crash occurred shortly before 3:30 a.m. on April 23 on Loop 12 (Walton Walker) at the Interstate 35 split.

The driver of an SUV reportedly lost control of the vehicle on Loop 12 and hit the median attenuator. The vehicle burst into flames after the crash.

Authorities believe another vehicle may have hit the SUV, causing the crash. The driver of that vehicle fled the crash site before police arrived.

The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

No further details were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
