1 Killed in Fiery 4-Vehicle Crash on Atascocita Shores in Houston

One Killed, One Injured in Houston Four-Vehicle Crash on Atascocita Shores at FM 1960

Harris County, Texas (July 19, 2020) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a fiery four-vehicle crash on Saturday in Houston, according to deputies.

The fatal crash happened on July 18, in the 19900 block of Atascocita Shores at FM 1960 near Lake Houston.

Deputies said a Dodge Charger left the roadway and struck a truck that was waiting to turn. The impact caused the Charger to catch fire.

Two other vehicles were also involved in the crash.

According to an initial crash report, one of the vehicles flipped over.

The Charger driver was declared dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Good Samaritans were able to pull the female passenger from the Charger. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The crash knocked out power in the area.

 The crash remains under investigation.
