One Killed in Austin Motorcycle Accident on N Mopac Expressway

Austin, Texas (May 27, 2022) – One person was killed in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon in North Austin, authorities said.

The fatal motorcycle collision happened at about 1:34 p.m. Thursday, May 26 in the 8500 block of N Mopac Expressway Southbound.

Authorities determined that the person fell off their motorcycle and may have been struck by another vehicle.

The person, described as an adult victim, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities temporarily blocked all southbound lanes following the wreck.

No further details about the collision were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
