One Killed in South Austin Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 35 near Slaughter Lane

Austin, Texas (June 4, 2021) – According to officials, one person was killed Thursday morning in a pedestrian accident in south Austin.

The deadly accident happened around 11:54 a.m., June 3, in the 13300 block of the South Interstate 35 frontage road near Slaughter Lane.

Officials said the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the frontage road.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

No other details were provided.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
