One Killed in Houston Pedestrian Accident on Sam Houston Parkway (Beltway 8)

Houston, Texas (April 10, 2021) – One person was killed Thursday night in a pedestrian accident in Houston, according to police.

The deadly accident happened around 11:20 p.m., April 8, in the 10500 block of West Sam Houston Parkway South service road (Beltway 8).

According to witnesses, the pedestrian ran into the street from some bushes and was struck by a black Jaguar XF that was traveling northbound on the service road.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The Jaguar driver, a 23-year-old man, remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

The police are investigating the crash.
