Houston, Texas (July 10, 2021) – One person was killed Friday night in a rear-end collision in north Houston, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 8:00 p.m., July 9, on Highway 249 near the Greens Road exit ramp.

Authorities said a man was driving a white car when he pulled in front of a white van and hit the brakes. The driver of the van couldn’t stop in time and rear-ended the white car.

The car driver was taken to the hospital, where he later died. His name has not been released.

Investigators believe alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

The authorities are investigating the crash.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
