One Killed in SW Dallas Two-Vehicle Crash on Spur 408 near Kiest

Dallas, Texas (January 29, 2023) – One person was killed Friday night in a rear-end crash in southwest Dallas, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash happened around 6:00 p.m., January 27, on southbound Spur 408 near Kiest.

Authorities said a pickup truck was traveling southbound when it drifted onto the shoulder and rear-ended a parked sedan on the side of the roadway.

A passenger inside the parked sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s identity has not been released.

The pickup truck driver was taken into custody.

The crash closed the southbound lanes of Spur 408.

The crash remains under investigation.
