Spring, Texas (September 16, 2021) – One person was killed early Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Spring Branch, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 5:20 a.m., September 15, at the intersection of Blalock and Campbell.

Police said a Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound while a Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound. Both vehicles failed to stop at the intersection, and the Chevrolet struck the Toyota on the passenger side. The traffic light was out at the time of the crash due to Hurricane Nicholas.

The front seat passenger of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

Investigators said alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The traffic light not working and reduced visibility due to weather conditions might have been factors.

No further details regarding the crash were provided.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
