One Killed in Alton Two-Vehicle Crash on Morefield Road near FM 681

Alton, Texas (September 25, 2022) – One person was killed early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash north of Alton, according to the Texas DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 12:03 a.m., September 24, on Morefield Road south of Farm-to-Market Road 681.

DPS said a gray Mazda 6 was heading northbound when it collided with a southbound blue GMC Sierra.

A passenger in the Mazda was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

The driver and passenger of the Sierra were taken to a local hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.

The condition of the driver of the Mazda was not provided.

The DPS troopers are investigating the crash.
