One Dies in Walker County Plane Crash North of Houston

Walker County, Texas (June 16, 2019) – One person was killed in a deadly plane crash that occurred Saturday morning in Walker County, according to the authorities.

The incident took place in a wooded area near Highway 19 on Saturday, June 15.

Authorities said the single-engine Piper PA-28 was returning to an airstrip in Conroe from Livingston when the plane experienced an engine failure. The pilot was unable to maintain altitude and the plane crashed.

A female passenger in the plane died in the crash.

The pilot was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital for treatment.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating the incident.
