1 Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on US 79 in Panola County

Man Dies in Panola County Crash on US 79

Panola County, Texas (February 14, 2019) – A man was killed in a deadly two-vehicle accident near Carthage in Panola County on Wednesday afternoon, according to the DPS.
The crash was reported at about 5:12 p.m. February 13, on US 79, approximately 2.2 miles west of the city of Carthage.
DPS said a man was driving a 2014 Ford F-250 when he slammed into a 2019 Mack truck towing a trailer and which was legally stopped to make a left turn into a private drive.
The driver of the Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The DPS is investigating the accident.
