One Seriously Injured in Lubbock Crash on South Loop 289 at University Avenue

Lubbock, Texas (March 1, 2023) – One person was seriously injured in a crash involving an 18-wheeler Wednesday afternoon in Lubbock, according to the Lubbock Police Department.

The crash happened at around 12:23 p.m. on South Loop 289 at University Avenue.

Police said the 18-wheeler and a passenger vehicle were involved in the crash.

One patient was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

No other information was provided.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
