10 Injured in 3-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 96 in South Jasper County

Ten Injured in South Jasper County Three-Vehicle Crash on U.S. Highway 96 near CR 716

Jasper County, Texas (November 2, 2020) – Ten people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Halloween night in south Jasper County, according to the Texas DPS.

The crash happened at about 8:00 p.m., October 31, on U.S. Highway 96 near County Road 716.

DPS said the crash involved three vehicles and involved several children who were trick-or-treating.

A total of sixteen people were involved in the crash.

Ten people sustained injuries in the crash. Five were taken to local hospitals by ambulance while the other five were taken to the hospital by private vehicles.

The DPS is investigating the crash.
