10-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after Wylie Bicycle Crash on South Ballard Avenue

Wylie, Texas (August 29, 2019) – A 10-year-old child was injured Wednesday morning in a bicycle accident in Wylie, according to a police report.

The crash occurred at around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, August 28 on South Ballard Avenue, just outside Harrison Intermediate School.

As per the police report, the boy was riding his bicycle across South Ballard Avenue in a designated crossing area to get to school when he was hit by a vehicle, which was exiting the parking lot.

The child was taken to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. The condition of the patient at this time was not immediately disclosed.

The driver involved was charged for their actions.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
