12-Year-Old Boy Injured in Bicycle Accident on Sandy Point Road in Bryan

12-Year-Old Boy Injured in Bryan Bicycle Accident on Sandy Point Road near Highway 21

Bryan, Texas (April 15, 2020) – A 12-year-old boy was injured Tuesday evening in a bicycle accident in Bryan, a local news source reported.

The accident happened around 6:32 p.m. on April 14, on Sandy Point Road near Highway 21.

According to police, a Nissan Titan was heading southbound when it hit the 12-year-old boy who was riding his bicycle southbound on the shoulder of the roadway.

The boy was taken to Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center in Temple with critical injuries. He was listed in stable condition.

The driver of the Nissan stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators. They were cited for Failure to Control Speed.

The crash remains under investigation.
