12-Year-Old Boy Seriously Hurt in Car Crash on Hwy 249 near Willowbrook

Boy Hospitalized after Harris County Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 249
Harris County, Texas (April 12, 2019) – A 12-year-old boy was seriously injured Thursday night in a two-vehicle crash in the Willowbrook area of Harris County, according to the deputies.
The crash occurred shortly before midnight, April 11, on Highway 249.
Deputies said a 35-year-old woman was driving an SUV with her 12-year-old and 3-year-old children on the highway when they reached an overpass, and their car became disabled. She pulled to the side of the road with her flashers on. The SUV was then rear-ended by an Infiniti car with two women.
The 12-year-old boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The mother and the younger child sustained minor injuries in the crash. The women in the Infiniti were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
The highway was closed following the crash.
The deputies are investigating the crash.
