13-Year-Old Girl Hit by School Bus at Plains Blvd and Kansas Street in Amarillo

13-Year-Old Girl Injured in Amarillo Pedestrian Accident at Plains Blvd and Kansas Street

Amarillo, Texas (March 23, 2023) – A 13-year-old girl was struck by a school bus Monday morning in Amarillo, according to the police.

The accident happened around 7:15 a.m., March 20, at the intersection of Plains Blvd and Kansas Street.

Police said the bus driver didn’t see the girl and hit her at the intersection. She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The school bus driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way to pedestrian in crosswalk. The driver was placed on administrative leave.

The police are investigating the crash.
