16-Year-Old Killed in Travis County Four-Vehicle Crash on FM 2244

Travis County, Texas (October 6, 2020) – One person was killed in a four-vehicle crash Sunday evening in western Travis County, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened around 5:20 p.m., October 4, on FM 2244.

DPS said a 16-year-old boy was driving a 1998 Honda Accord eastbound when he lost control, went into the westbound lane, and hit three cars before coming to a stop in a grassy ditch.

The boy was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

Two people refused transportation while another was not injured.

The crash closed FM 2244 near S. Lowell Lane.

The crash remains under investigation.
