One Killed and Five Injured in Pleasant Grove Fire-Rescue Ambulance Crash at Scyene Road and Glover Pass

Pleasant Grove, Texas (March 30, 2020) – One person was killed, and five others were injured in a traffic collision involving a Fire-Rescue ambulance in Pleasant Grove, according to a local news source.

The fatal crash occurred around 6:20 a.m., March 29, at the intersection of Scyene Road and Glover Pass.

Police said a Dallas Fire-Rescue ambulance was parked at the stop sign helping a patient in the back on the way to the hospital.

A 15-year-old boy was driving at a high rate on Scyene Road, when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, rotated and struck a sign and DART concrete bus stop bench.

The impact caused the vehicle to sink to the ground, flip over and land on the roof before hitting the driver’s side door of the ambulance. It then spun about 90 degrees.

The driver of the ambulance was taken to the hospital where they were treated for minor injuries and released. The paramedic was also taken to the hospital with a possible concussion. The patient was uninjured.

The 15-year-old driver and his two passengers, a 16-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl were taken to the hospital, where the girl later died. Her name has not been released.

The 16-year-old boy had serious injuries.

The 15-year-old driver had non-life threatening injuries and is facing a charge of manslaughter and four counts of assault.

The crash remains under investigation.

We pass our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
