Travis High School Student Injured in Austin Pedestrian Crash on West Oltorf Street near Fourth Street

Austin, Texas (February 6, 2019) – A Travis High School student was struck and injured by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in Austin, police said.
The incident took place in the 900 block of West Oltorf Street near Fourth Street.
Police said a pickup truck leaving a gas station lost control and struck an 18-year-old student waiting at a bus stop.
The teen sustained serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The identities of the parties involved in the crash were not immediately released.
The driver of the truck was cited for failure to control speed.
