19-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Mayhill Road in Denton

19-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Denton Pedestrian Accident on Mayhill Road near Spencer Road

Denton, Texas (October 11, 2020) – A 19-year-old boy was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash Friday morning in Denton, according to police.

The accident happened just after 6:00 a.m., October 9, on South Mayhill Road, just south of Spencer Road.

Police said the boy was walking down the street when he was struck by a vehicle.

The vehicle fled the scene after the crash.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators said the suspect vehicle might have been an SUV and should have damage to the driver’s side headlight area.

An investigation into the crash is underway. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 940-349-8181 and ask to be transferred to the Traffic Division.
