Two Critically Injured in Houston Two-Vehicle Crash on Main Street

Houston, Texas (April 17, 2021) – Two people were critically injured early Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash in southwest Houston, according to police.

The fatal crash happened in the 10500 block of Main Street, in front of HFD Fire Station 21.

Police said two vehicles were traveling alongside each other when they collided. The impact caused one of the vehicles to spin out of control and crash into a power pole and an HFD signal light, nearly splitting the vehicle in half.

Two passengers in the vehicle had to be extricated. Both of them were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The other driver fled the scene.

The authorities are looking for the suspect.

Officers said speed might have been a factor in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
