2 Critically Injured in Head-On Crash on State Highway 34 in Terrell

Two People Hospitalized after Terrell Crash on State Highway 34 near County Road 322A

Terrell, Texas (May 19, 2023) – Two people were critically injured in a head-on collision in Terrell on Tuesday night, authorities said.

The crash happened at around 6:58 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, on State Highway 34, just south of County Road 322A.

According to the authorities, a minivan collided head-on with an SUV on State Highway 34 under unclear circumstances. Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage.

The drivers of both vehicles were airlifted to Dallas-area hospitals in critical condition.

Police closed State Highway 34 in both north and southbound directions as they worked to clear the crash scene.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
