The crash occurred around 6:15 a.m., June 18, on Interstate 40 and South Lakeside Drive.

AFD said a pickup truck was stopped at a red light when it was rear-ended by a Ford F-350. Both trucks then crashed into a semi-truck.

The Ford F-350 fled the scene after the crash.

An adult and a minor in the pickup were taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

The crash closed the roadway for an extended period.

The crash remains under investigation.

Common Causes of Automobile Accidents

While there are many causes of car accidents, the most common reasons of driver negligence include driver inattention; cell phone use; texting and driving; speeding; fatigue; failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign or private drive; running a red light; and driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs,” Attorney Joel A. Gordon said. Mr. Gordon believes that an independent investigation is important. An Attorney will help obtain the crash report, secure accident photos, interview witnesses, and create a claim.
