2 Dead, 3 Hurt in 3-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 21 in Sabine County

2 Killed, 3 Injured in Sabine County Crash on State Highway 21
Sabine County, Texas (January 28, 2019) – Two people were killed and three others were hospitalized late Saturday night following a traffic accident involving three vehicles in Sabine County, the Texas Department of Public Safety reported.
The deadly crash happened at an unspecified time Saturday, January 26 on State Highway 21.
According to the DPS, a Ford pickup hauling a trailer was turning off State Highway 21 when a 2012 BMW traveling a high rate of speed struck the trailer.
The BMW then collided head-on with a Chevrolet pickup.
The driver of the BMW and his passenger were both declared dead at the scene. Their names have not been disclosed pending identification and notification of their families.
The driver and two passengers of the Chevrolet were airlifted to LSU Medical Center in Shreveport with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
