2 Deputies, Suspect Injured in Chase Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway in Lubbock

Two Deputies and Suspect Injured in Lubbock Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway near Texas Tech Parkway

Lubbock, Texas (July 15, 2022) – Three people, including two Lubbock County Sheriff’s, were injured Thursday night after a low-speed chase ended in a crash in Lubbock, according to the authorities.

The crash happened on July 14, on the Marsha Sharp Freeway near Texas Tech Parkway.

Authorities said a pursuit started just before midnight when a car drove away from a traffic stop at 19th and Aberdeen. The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed into the sheriff’s office vehicles.

The suspect and the two deputies were taken to University Medical Center with moderate injuries. The deputies have since been released.

No other details were provided.

An investigation is underway.
