2 Hospitalized after Rear-End Crash on Interstate 20 in Van Zandt County

Two Injured in Interstate 20 Crash near Farm to Market Road 314 in Van Zandt County
Van Zandt County, Texas (March 14, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized Tuesday night after a traffic accident on an interstate in Van Zandt County, according to a local news source.
The wreck was reported at about 9:29 p.m. Tuesday, March 12 on Interstate 20, just west of the overpass at Farm to Market Road 314 and involved two vehicles.
As per the report, a car was rear-ended by a tanker truck on the interstate.
Fire crews responded to the scene and extricated two people were trapped inside the car. The driver sustained major injuries and was taken to a Tyler hospital while the passenger was also hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
The operator of the truck was not hurt in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
